Did Halley invent the diving bell when he was 64? Aristotle talked about using bronze tanks to submerge men in deep water.

Halley spent hours at the bottom of the Thames, improving & improving & improving his design. Eventually he spent four hours down there! Although it did give him awful pain in his ears.
